Key topics discussed:
1. User empathy is crucial when building great products, but how can we make it scale?
2. Too much data can be dangerous!
3. The testing industry is facing a data-driven reckoning.
Thoughts from the CEO:
I firmly believe that successful product leaders are the ones who embody the customer: the ones who take the struggles, aspirations, and problems of real people and drive an obsessive journey to solve their problems. Perhaps an even bigger challenge is to scale that user empathy to their teams.
Hearing ChenLi's journey building world class products at Aura and Dropbox, I couldn't stop thinking about how synonymous quality is with culture. Software has gotten really big, the world has moved forward, but the fundamental narratives that we use to drive quality in our product and engineering organizations tend to stray away from what really matters.
Coming out of this, I couldn't be more excited for Testgram's role in rewriting this narrative. The problem we're solving is not an engineering problem or a product problem, it's a culture problem.
